Found in Him

Found in Him

“So that I should gain Christ, and may be found in him.”

These words have been in my mind this week, particularly the words “that I may be found in him.”

It stands to reason that if I’m found in him, he is found in me, or if he is found in me, I’m found in him. This is what Jesus talks of. It is the fusion of two spirits becoming one.

And it’s not sufficient for us to simply be found with him or him with us. It is only in him that this fusion of spirits occurs.

Paul said this;

“For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.”

“That he might create IN HIMSELF one new man in place of the two.” This is spiritual fusion! What was once two becomes one in him. But only in him.

I cannot be one with the Father outside of Jesus. The way to oneness with the Father is Jesus, and we must be found in him to experience that oneness.

Am I found in him right here and now? When people meet me, can they walk away knowing that I am in him?

The message of these times is that the Father desires for each one of us that we are experiencing this fusion with the Spirit of Christ. It is a message of our need to know who we are IN HIM, and then living as sons of the Father in experience.

And how? I’m constantly reminded to eat of the bread of Life. To take a moment in any situation to recognise that I have the bread, and to eat of him. The fact that I’m reminded says enough, basically that I still need to be reminded! I still get distracted by so many things. But I’m learning like everyone else.

To be found in him; that should be the goal of every follower of Jesus. To personally experience spiritual fusion with Christ, whereby it’s no longer me but it’s all him.

Let us receive the gift of the Father today, the bread of Life, and drink the Living Water, and let us be conscious through spiritual experience of our fusion in him. Let us be able to say,

“He has created in himself one new man in place of two!”
